So you guys are driving a Ford Fusion hybrid? I don't know why I don't see more on the road as it is so vastly superior to other hybrid sedans. I may now need to add my own blog on this matter. Ah, the spreading of blog ideas is much like the spreading of herpes.Or not.

Actually, John mentioned RAN and I asked if he knew you. He said yes and sends his best! He seemed delighted to hear from you (well, of you), and he did emphasize the amount of professional respect you all gave him.

So Chris, you know you are talking about me when you say "engaging with people who probably aren't very nice to them." I knew and had had several meetings with John Viera when I worked at RAN. We didn't always agree (and often highlighted their greenwashing), but I think I was always very nice to him. :) And I really appreciated the respect with which he treated me/us.

And I do think there has been a big improvement in Ford's sustainability work since John took over those efforts. Now we hear Ford talking about improving the fuel efficiency of their fleet, rather than pointing out the sunflowers they planted in the lot next to HQ as proof of their sustainability efforts. (Yes, that honestly happened to me back in 2005 with one of John's predecessors).

But, I say keep up the progress Ford! While, like you Chris, I'm still car free out here in SF, I can't wait to drive a plug-in hybrid straight outa Detroit.
