Moment in a Coffee Shop
It can happen anywhere. In a movie theater, in an airplane, on the bus. Dozens of empty seats surround you, yet someone decides to sit exactly across from you or right in your lap. Suddenly your oasis of calm is infiltrated by a middle-aged Lexington, Massachusetts man who likes to drink his iced tea very, very slowly while doing calisthenics in between.
It is at that moment, that exact moment, that you miss home.

ha ha ha! I watched it happen. He obviously has the hots for you.
Jaime – I can’t see you – did he frustrate you into invisibility? It has happened to me many times, not invisibility, but having someone choose my space when there’s tons of room – we must have magnetic personalities – sorry dumb joke
Just please God tell me he wasn’t a loud nose breather. *shudder*
I have a confession to make: whenever I’m at work and I unwrap a particularly noisy food item, I think of you and how much it would piss you off. Ahh memories…
TheMom- hahahahaha. No, I took the pic after I moved to the other side of the shop. Jo- I thought of you the entire time because yes– the nose was breathing and it was NOT HAPPY.
Wait a minute! How did your Dad’s wonderful orange couch and chair get in that coffe shop?!!!
You’re mentioned here too: runningofthebride.com
OMG Stepmummy- you are so right. Those are dad’s couches…
