Cheeseburger, Las Vegas

Tiki Bar at Cheeseburger, Las Vegas
About four years ago, I ran the Honolulu Marathon. After the marathon, my family and I went to the Cheeseburger restaurant in Oahu for drinks, burgers, and fries. I loved the atmosphere, the staff, and the location. Add to that the fact that I had just finished my first marathon and I was flying high.
So when Chris and I decided to come to Vegas to check out final ceremony venues, I told him that we had to check out the Cheeseburger restaurant at the Planet Hollywood resort. True to form, the restaurant was fantastic, with the world’s cutest Tiki bar right smack in the middle of the dining area.
We met up for burgers and fries with Kathy Stiber, the restaurant’s director of Special Events. While we noshed on burgers and fries (gratis!) Kathy told us about other events that had been held at Cheeseburger over the past several years. She also told us her daughter’s funny and slightly dramatic engagement story as well as the story of how Kathy had ended up running special events at Cheeseburger, Las Vegas. By the end of dinner, we were fast friends.
Cheeseburger offers two options for events. One is a private room that can accommodate 100 guests comfortably. The other is to buyout the entire restaurant with the understanding that the event must meet a pre-set food and beverage minimum. The menu is relaxed (burgers, salads, and fries) and the drinks are fun (mai tais and draft beer).
An added bonus? Kathy assured us that she knows “the best Elvis in town” and has a great DJ in pocket.
